Google Is Launching Android P With Amazingly Cool Features

2018 is the year of updates. With the unveiling of iOS 12 and Android P, it is predicted that the ways we use our smartphones are going to change. Android P is about to alter the looks of our smart phones and their usage, with some exciting new features and upgrading of the previous ones. The latest Emojis will turn the texting exciting and the Dashboard or App timer will alert the user about the usage  statistics of the device.

A lot is happening in the tech world and with the new operating systems, the smart phone industry is opting for revolution.

A 360-degree shift to the navigation

Android P is giving a paradigm shift to navigation. The last change happened back in 2011 when the 3 key navigation system was launched. These were Home, Back, and Recents. Now, it will be a gesture-based navigation. For home you need to tap the home button. For the recent apps page, you will be required to swipe up. For the app drawer, a long swipe or two swipes will be needed. The back button will be customized and will only appear in certain apps when desired.

Colorful interface

The last interface modification happened when Android OS was upgraded from KitKat to Lollipop. Android P’s interface is a lot smoother than Oreo and works impeccably. It appears more pulsating due to the colorful appearance.

The tools to manage screen time.

The most talked about and anticipated feature, Android Dashboard, will let you set a timer to restrict app usage to control time spent on the device. It will notify you when you have exceeded your assigned limit. Moreover, the app is also designed to tell the time spent on each app. This app is the need of the time as an average person spends almost 24 hours a week on the mobile phone.

Expanded battery life

Both Apple and Google have been trying their best to increase the battery life as all these apps running in the background. Fortunately Android P has overcome this and it is now going to be fixed with the feature named Adaptive Battery Life. Adaptive Battery Life will limit CPU usage to apps which are seldom used depending on the data about your phone usage pattern.

Adaptive Brightness

Furthermore to enhance the battery life, Adaptive Brightness will automatically regulate the screen brightness depending on your surroundings, and will also avoid battery draining.

Final words

Android P will certainly change the smartphone usage and will make it more expedient and user-friendly with plenty of minor features like built-in screenshot editor, zoom pop-up while highlighting text, DND and a customized Google Maps. Android P is predicted to be more popular in competition to iOS 12 due to its mass usage all over the globe. The latest features are fun to use, time saving and more suitable for today’s Android users.
