The Google+ is officially Shutting Down for the Users

Google+ use has declined in recent years and is completely shutting down after being alleged to leak data of several thousands of its users.

According to the reports and latest news, it was predictable that Google+ will be shut down any time soon. However, we now know that it is going to completely shut down in April. Some people have already moved on from Google+ but some people still actively use this social network.

The reason for its shut down is because it had suffered a data leak. As a result, the company announced this saddening news. In April, all your Google+ accounts will disappear. Google potentially exposed the data of thousands of people who had signed up with Google+. This issue was not further investigated because the company feared about damage to its reputation. However, the company has now planned to close down its Google+ services for the sake of their reputation.

According to a Google support page, Google+ will shut down on the April 2nd, 2019. Moreover, all your Google accounts along with the pages you created will be permanently deleted. However, you should be able to save your data somewhere else before it is deleted. From February 4th, you will not be able to create new Google+ profiles, pages or events.

You can download and save your Google+ content on a flash drive, your laptops, or any other storage device before April. Google+ has allowed you to save all your data including Google+ circles, communities, streams and +1’s by following a few instructions.

Moreover, this applies to personal users on Google+ as the enterprise version is around the corner and Google is planning to introduce it with new look and features for G suite customers in the following month.

April 2nd is going to be a dooms day for all the Google+ active users who had passionately used this social network. Now, fans are concerned if Google+ shutdown is a similar failure as some of the flopped social network platforms in history.
