Four Google Home Tips for Music Lovers

Loving your Google Home speakers as much as you love music can enhance your experience with the following tips and tricks.

For a speaker to be considered the best, it should have the ability to stream a wide range of music from multiple services. Google Home speakers are one of the best speakers available. It is great at playing your favorite songs and the tune you have just heard somewhere even if you do not know the title of the song. Following are the tips for listening to music with your Smart Google Home speakers.

You can Listen to YouTube Music

Google Play Music and Spotify are basically responsible for providing you with your favorite music. But the problem is both platforms do not have the specific version of a song you like or maybe you like the live versions better, you can listen to the song on YouTube Music. To enable this feature, you have to say “OK Google, play Lauv's The other” on YouTube Music and it will automatically search for the song you have requested and play.

Change the Default Services

The most important thing you should do with your Google Home speaker is to set the default music service. To do this, open Google Home application on your device, tap the three-line button in the top left and expand the side menu. Now select Music from the list. After doing so, link your accounts if needed and tap the radio button if you want to use it.

Once you have set up the default service a prompt will appear to clarify which service you would like to use at the end of your commands. You just have to give the correct commands specifying where you want the music will come from.

Set Up Multiroom Audio

If you have two or more Google Home speakers in your house, then you can play the music on multiple speakers to bring on the party time. To do this, you need to create an audio group.

First, you need to make sure that all the devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then by opening Google Home app, go to Devices. On the top right corner tap the menu button which is the three vertical dots. You can now create a Group, give it a name, select the audio devices you want in the group and, click save.

Once your group is created, to play music through all the audio devices which are included in that group you have to command, “OK Google, play Sia’s Cheap thrills”.

Sleep Timer

Sleep timer is the best feature that you can use in your Google home speakers. You can now easily set up a time limit to which the music plays and stops. For instance, if you like to listen to music as you fall asleep but you do not want it to play the whole night, you can use a sleep timer. To do this you just have to command, “OK Google, stop playing the music in 1 hour”.
